Extract - The VICON is a three-dimensional biochemical analysis and image system of movement. It includes four videocameras that film the markers attached on several body segments, and store information in a computer. VICON's analytical software then provides x, y, z and time co-ordinates of the points (markers). In Sport Medicine, the advantages of VICON are not only to analyse and display Biomechanics of complex movements but are also useful for the treatment and resolution of accidents.
