Vicon Workstation, now in v5.2, fully supports the all new Reference Video System, a complete solution allowing you to capture multiple video streams fully synchronized with your data acquisition. 5.2 also supports MX Bridge, a cost-effective upgrade path to the benefits of the Vicon MX system.
• Workstation 5.2 supports the Reference Video System allowing you to capture synchronized reference video from 2 or more digital video cameras – removing the need for a digital splitter solution.
• Workstation 5.2 with the Reference Video System is the industry’s only solution for capturing high-quality DCAM standard video.
• Workstation 5.2 controls the General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) port on the
MX-Control. The port is used for a variety of synchronization tasks, and integrates with the Reference Video System to provide you with full synchronization between the reference video and the 3D marker data.
• Workstation 5.2 builds on Vicon’s 21 years of motion capture experience and now supports more camera types and more capture rates than any other capture application in the industry.
Workstation 5.2 is the ultimate solution for flexibility and affordability.

Vicon Reference Video System allows you to seamlessly capture multiple digital reference video streams which are fully synchronized with your data acquisition, significantly enhancing the usability and the analysis process.
SEAMLESS CAPTURE OF MULTIPLE VIDEO STREAMS
Previous multiple video capture solutions relied on merging the video streams and saving a single file to disk. Vicon Reference Video System now allows you to capture up to six video streams simultaneously, keeping the data from each camera in separate files. This will greatly enhance the usability of the reference video since you can display, zoom and pan the images from the different cameras independently.
FULLY INTEGRATED WITH WORKSTATION, POLYGON AND MX SYSTEMS
Vicon Reference Video System is fully integrated with Vicon Workstation,
allowing multiple video streams to be completely synchronised with data from a captured trial. Furthermore, full Vicon Polygon integration allows you to
analyse different data sets concurrently, showing the 3D marker data
alongside the reference videos. The Reference Video System is compatible
with the plug-and-play architecture of the MX system, and is therefore
automatically detected, synchronized and integrated with all the other devices.
COMPATIBLE WITH DCAM VIDEO STANDARDS
Up until now capture with DCAM high-end cameras has not been possible.
Vicon Reference Video System is the only available solution in the marketplace
allowing you to capture DCAM quality data and optical marker data concurrently. You can choose from a range of cost-effective, high-resolution, high-frequency,
progressive scan cameras.
DEDICATED PC ENSURING NO DROPPED FRAMES
Vicon Reference Video System is supplied with a dedicated PC for streaming the digital video to disk. Unlike other reference video capture solutions, this ensures that every video frame is recorded and that no frames are dropped or lost.
