PATTERN TRACKING Vicon Motus' new Pattern Tracking lets you track unique user specified patterns frame-by-frame without markers or manual intervention. If the image contains a distinguishable pattern that is visible across several frames, the system can recognize a point within the pattern and track it automatically for the entire sequence.
MULTIPLE 2D VIDEO CAPTURE Save valuable time by simultaneously collecting up to 6 2D camera views.  2D analysis from multiple angles is now easier than ever when each view is saved separately. Acquire data streams concurrently and proceed directly to your analysis.
STROBE IMAGING Progressively overlay selected video images to create stroboscopic .avi files. Enhance your reports by identifying and displaying events such as heel strike, toe-off or ball release.
ONE STEP 3D & ANALOG COLLECTION Gone are the days of collecting and downloading multiple video files to synchronize with analog data. Now, in one step you can collect 3D video and analog data concurrently, direct to the hard drive. Sync digital video camcorders, high-speed Basler cameras or genlockable analog via the EVCU, RVSU or MX Control.

 

CAMERA INTEGRATION
Vicon MX-F40 – Vicon Motus now seamlessly integrates with the MX-F40 optical cameras.  The MX-F40 is the world’s first motion capture camera with 4 mega-pixel resolution, real-time on board processing and submillimeter accuracy.

High-speed Video – The integration of Basler 602f high-speed cameras offers an affordable solution for capturing up to 100 frames per second at 656 x 492 resolution. Capture up to 6 synchronized cameras via standard FireWire (IEEE-1394) connections, directly to the hard drive.

USB ANALOG
Take your research and your laptop out of the lab and collect analog (EMG, force plates) data via your computers USB port. 

NEW CALCULATIONS WIZARD
A new step-by-step wizard lets you specify the maximum number of samples to be interpolated. Small gaps can be interpolated while larger ones remain in place. You can also improve manual digitizing accuracy by limiting cursor movement relative to defined segment lengths.

LOCK-IN SCALING
Store stick figure display parameters in report layouts to retain proper position when opened in subsequent trials.

HDTV
Capture high definition video for larger more detailed images using HD cameras. Mega-pixel video import will facilitate more accurate manual and automatic digitizing.

ROBUST SETUP PROCEDURES
Vicon Motus is built around a design core that enables you to easily set-up both simple and complex studies. You have control over the number of points to track, how angles and center of mass are computed and can even specify how virtual points are computed from tracked points using unit vectors and algebraic formulas.

WINDOWS STANDARD USER INTERFACE
Vicon Motus is designed to be compliant with Microsoft® interface guidelines. Users familiar with Word®, PowerPoint®, and Excel® can quickly learn and construct the workflow using tab-cards, tool bars, and hotkeys. In addition, the interface is the same no matter if the system is used for 2D video tracking of a single point or 3D optical capture tracking of a complex full-body action. The common interface allows the user to grow with the system.

RESEARCH LEVEL CALCULATIONS
Not only must your data be accurate, but the other data you compute must pass the scrutiny of review. Vicon Motus software is loaded with computations that are standard and trusted in the biomechanics community: digital filters like Butterworth, FFT and Quintic Spline, central difference velocity algorithms, dataset averaging, and reference frame translation and rotation.

TEMPLATES
Vicon Motus software can store pertinent information relative to your study in easily retrievable templates. Camera, calibration, data acquisition, and computational information specific to each study can be filed and reused as needed

PROTOCOLS AND WIZARDS
Create step-by-step procedures to guide users through specific portions or all of the trial process. With protocols, students and technicians can use the Vicon Motus tools with minimal training.

CUSTOM REPORTS
Vicon Motus Report generation tool works from blank pages, similar to PowerPoint slides. Create impactfull presentations using, solid models, stacked line graphs, insertable images, and horizontal and vertical components of custom vectors. These reports can be played frame-by-frame or stored as AVI files. Expand access to your presentations by loading them on a laptop, website, CD, or e-mail.
